- The main point and purpose is to pull toegther and finalize my reserach, project application, and Broad Model of Interdisciplinary Research Steps. Follow an academic format
- The final copy must ve a minimum of 2500 words (Minus the title page and reference section)

Step 1:
You define the problem or state the research question in a way that is appropriate to interdisciplinary study.
You clearly define the scope of the study.
You avoid the three tendencies that run counter to interdisciplinary process: disciplinary jargon, disciplinary bias, and personal bias.
You answer the “so what?” question.
Step 2:
You state that the problem or research question is complex and explains what this means.
You state or imply that there are important insights into the problem offered by two or more disciplines.
You state or imply that no single discipline has been able to address the problem comprehensively.
You state that the problem addresses an important and as yet unresolved issue concerning nature or society.
Step 3:
You identify the disciplines potentially relevant to the problem.
You narrow these to those that are most relevant and explains the basis for doing so.
Step 4:
You identify insights from two or more disciplines, and confirm that they are most relevant to the problem.
You report that the literature search confirms the identity of the disciplines and their insights that are most relevant to the problem.
Step 5:
You identify the key elements of insights and locates their sources of conflict.
You identify the key elements of the most important disciplinary insights into the problem.
You identify both the sources of conflict and/or agreement between insights.
Step 6:
You reflect on how the interdisciplinary process has enlarged your understanding of the problem
You explain how an interdisciplinary approach challenged your bias on the problem.
You explain how an interdisciplinary approach has influenced your perception of disciplinary expertise.
You explain how an interdisciplinary approach has enlarged your understanding of the problem as a whole.
Application of Research:
Have you identified an application for your research (what will you do with the research – for example, a community project, a business plan, a comprehensive educational program, etc.)? Is it in a logical place?
