POST 2: (50 WORDS OR MORE) NO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

This personality theory actually felt a little bit different to me. You can definitely tell that Cattell was not a psychologist, psychology’s sake, and you sort of fell into it. A lot more research in from it, and I thought we were reading the research textbook, but a lot more statistical kind of research, mathematical sort of thought process behind what he was doing, and it gave us a very different perspective, I feel like, than our past theories. So, to jump into it, what did he give so Patel proposed the trait theory. And traits are basically these building blocks of personality, and they can be semi-permanent, or things that are seen over the course of our lives, different types of traits include common traits such as intelligence, unique traits distinguishing characteristics, more like being a gamer, being an artistic person, being someone that’s into sports. And then you have ability traits that are things like skills in our work ethic, you know, how far we really push ourselves in which drive we have, in that sense, what we do, temperament, our emotions and our feelings. Am I very sensitive? Am I very insensitive? Dynamic, our motivations and drives? So, these are the actual things themselves. Am I a person that’s seeking pleasure? Am I person that’s, you know, seeking the motivation of helping others, that self, you know, fulfilling prophecy, in a sense. And then you have surface level traits, less stable. They are basically less there’s no single source for them. Basically, they come basically in a moment, sometimes, like their feelings, like indecision, maybe I’m hungry, maybe I’m, you know, in pain in a moment, and I’m showing indecisive traits. Doesn’t necessarily mean I am indecisive all this time. I just have that surface trait of being indecisive in a moment. Source traits, these are much more stable. These are much more permanent. Surface traits include, you know, all of those different 16 factors that he put into his personality factor, and that that scale, that do you fall here, or do you fall there? And you sort of have to look through all of them. There’s no like one defining one for source to really go over. But there are a lot of different things, like introversion, extroversion, things like that. And then you get into constitutional traits. These have a biological origin. And Cattell actually thought that 1/3 of all of our personality traits have a biological origin, things like alcohol abuse and things like, you know, our emotional temperament in themselves, sometimes based off of a tendency to be exposed to different disorders as well. Can be considered a constitutional trait, environmental traits. These are, like more of the nurture traits, things that we grew up around, socially, physically experiencing, and these are the other two thirds of our traits. So cattle basically encapsulated all these and said that these are the basis for personality. Now we’re talking about our learning styles. In learning styles. I’m very much so a visual auditory learner. If there’s something visual that will help me remember something, I remember it a lot faster. Something like I can hear along with it, then it’s dual encoded. I’m snapping that back up in a jiffy, and I can write that down as an answer. But I’m also very overly stimulated easily, so there’s too many things going on, I could find it harder to get that information in over time. And actually, in my experiences, in studying, I have found that I am a little bit more of a solitary and a little bit more of a logical sort of learner as well. If I can tie in my thoughts in a moment or create a reference in my head as when I’m learning something, then it makes it a lot easier for me to pull it back out. And that’s just sort of like how I am when it comes to my learning style, and using my theory and looking at that, I can sort of like see traits of my introverted and abstract nature sort of playing into my learning style. You know, my need to study alone, but also make those abstract references and painting a picture as I’m doing something, if I’m really having difficulty remembering it, I will paint a picture in my head. I will say, for example, unique traits. I initially in my moment, I was like, Oh, I’m a gamer. I’m an artistic that’s me. That’s unique trait, easy peasy, and then focusing on getting key details in. I will miss that in a group setting. So I know I need to be alone and taking my time to develop an understanding of my information for others. Again, I need to be alone because I need to have that logical process going. I know that my strength and relationships will come from me having that abstract thought process and looking from, you know, the outside in, in a moment, and having a little bit more of, like a mild temperament. I’m very understanding. I could take a lot of time to adjust information, but I know that about myself, and I will, you know, prepare myself to do that when I’m having relationships with people, and I can know that I need to go back every now and then and demystify those interactions, because I know that not everything in every moment is going to be very clear. Not every interaction you have is perceived the same way on both sides, so you can’t operate from that sense. And I think a lot of that comes from more of like my mild temperament and very patient all those different things. Those are like the different strengths that I know I bring in a relationship. I hope everyone had a good week. Have a good one.

POST 3: (50 WORDS OR MORE) NO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

is my response for discussion eight. So first I wanted to talk about cattells theory for human personality. So in his theory, he emphasized the idea that human behavior is driven by traits. He classified these traits three different ways. The first one is common traits versus unique traits. So common traits is one that is possessed by everyone, but we have it. Everyone has it in different degrees. It is. Can be an example of intelligence or being an extrovert versus being an introvert

versus unique traits.

These are

more interest and attitudes. For example, my twin sister, her unique trait, she’s very interested in art, so she studied art, and now she’s a tattoo artist, versus me, I went for the field of psychology. So those are one of the unique traits. The second way He classified personality was to divide them in abilities. So it’s ability trade temperament and dynamic. The first one ability is how efficiently we work towards a goal. Temperament. It describes the general style and emotional tone of our behavior, for example, how assertive and easygoing a person is. And the third one is the dynamic traits that are the driving force of our behavior, so our motivation on our interests and ambitions. And the third one is surface traits versus source. So the first one surface traits is observable behavior, such as how friendly someone is or how talkative the person is, which they can vary in a situation and source traits are they go way deeper than that, and they’re more stable traits I would like to think about as core factors of our personality that are fundamental to our behavior. So for me, I did the 16 personality test and I got the ISFJ t, so that one is also known as the defender. So for my personality traits and college and my learning style, I prefer a very clear and structured lesson plan and assignments and with structured time, very organized and very clean. I think that’s where I strive the most. The one of my strengths is time management, my ability to create and stick to my plan helps me stay on top of everything.

And one of my other strengths is

my perfectionist tendencies, so my pursuit of flawless work. But that also can be a weakness, because sometimes it can lead to unnecessary stress the my second weakness is challenges with improvisation, so unexpected change, changes in projects or impromptu presentations or a pop quiz that can really, really stress me out because I didn’t see it coming. It’s not on my agenda, so it can result in under performance, which can also affect my perfectionist traits. So that’s me. I do recommend you to do the personality test, because it tells you about your relationships, it tells you about your learning skills and a different a bunch of different things of your personality.

I hope you liked it.
