Mod 1 Evolving Case Study #1 Part 1<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

Overview<\/strong><\/h5>\n
Case studies will be presented with a new patient in modules 1 and 5. The first case study will evolve from Module 1-4, and the second case study will evolve from module 5-7. You will be provided with all pertinent information needed for decision-making in the form of a SOAP note. You will need to decide on 1-2 evidence-based prescription medications to prescribe for the patient. You will use the prescription template to accurately handwrite each prescription. Do not use over-the-counter medications. For each prescription medication, you will write a one-page APA style paper. The paper will include both a cover page and a separate reference page, both in APA format. A minimum of 3 references and a maximum of 6 references should be used to complete the module, all less than 5 years old to be current. <\/div>\n

There will often be more than one acceptable answer for acceptable prescriptions. To allow for the evolving case study throughout each module there will be standard prescriptions decided by faculty that will carry to the next modules. These medications will be discussed at the TEAM\u2019s meeting on the first Monday of the following module. Students who choose appropriate medications that are not the standardized medication will still receive full points but will need to use the standard prescription for the following modules. <\/div>\n
