You\u2019ve done a brilliant job of assessing the literature!  This is far too ambitious for an undergraduate dissertation though.  To combine all your intentions here, you\u2019d need a PhD length project.  Here are some main comments:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • It\u2019s fine to write the proposal like this, but when it comes to the literature review for your final submission, don\u2019t just mention each piece of literature.  Draw out the key point each work is making, show how it fits in with the overall development of the field, and how what you\u2019re doing adds to this.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Don\u2019t use more than one research question.  This will take your project in too many different directions.  I would suggest focusing on the first question.  However, you\u2019ll need to define \u201cpsychological politics\u201d very tightly.  <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • You only need one method.  Between surveys, interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, you only need to select one.  I can\u2019t see participant observation helping you to answer the research question.  If you do surveys or interviews, you\u2019ll need ethics approval, which it would be good to get sorted asap. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • There are two options I see as holding the most promise.  Both involve firstly defining \u201cpsychological politics\u201d very tightly.  The first option is defining this term, then using either surveys or interviews to see how this is affecting people\u2019s political behaviour.  The second is keeping this a more theoretical project, and seeing if the idea of psychological politics is something new, or if it\u2019s always been part of politics. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
