In this course, you will be writing a research paper. In this module, you should attempt to craft the research topic, research question, and thesis statement for that research paper. The directions below outline the process that must be followed in order to complete this discussion.<\/p>\n
Develop a research proposal by identifying the following 4 items:<\/p>\n
General Topic \u2013 Choose a topic that covers a theory of education and\/or leadership that can be evaluated by a Christian worldview.\u00a0 Research Topic\u00a0\u2013 Develop an effective research topic that should be a focus area within the general topic chosen. (Hint: use the \u201cmatchmaker\u201d methodology from the\u00a0Watch: How to Choose a Smart Topic for a Research Paper\u00a0item found in this module’s Learn section.) Research Question\u00a0\u2013 Craft a strong research question that sets the direction of the research. It should be both purposeful\u00a0(What is the definitive goal?) and researchable\u00a0(Can the question be answered through research?). The research topic is the starting point for your research, but the research question gives you a direction to head with your research. (Hint: work through the \u201cWhat & how questions\u201d utilized in the Watch: Develop STRONG Research Questions Worth Answering item found in this module’s Learn section.) Thesis Statement\u00a0\u2013 Write a strong thesis statement. This statement should be 1-2 sentences long (which will find its place at the end of your paper\u2019s introduction) and contain your topic, your position\u00a0on the topic, and the leading evidence\u00a0that supports your position on the topic. Most importantly, your thesis statement should answer your research question! (Hint: make sure your thesis passes the 3-component test outlined in the Watch: Strong Thesis Statements: Step by Step Tutorial Crafting Effective Thesis Statements, Every Time!\u00a0item found in this module’s Learn section.) <\/p>\n

Thesis Statement\u00a0\u2013 The likelihood an online college student will graduate from their bachelor\u2019s program can be traced back to their ability to routinely implement cognitive stacking time management practices because it ensures they complete their workload based on the priority level of each task. <\/p>\n
