Nurses use evidence based practice models and frameworks to transition evidence and innovation into practice. A EBP model explicates a process, that if followed, will achieve the desired result. That result is usually moving evidence based innovations into a practice setting, and then evaluating the outcomes, followed by processes to reinforce sustainability of practice changes.<\/p>\n
There are many models, practically one for almost every occasion and situation. Academics, institutions, and organizations have developed their own models, and usually will use one model exclusively. Here at USM, we do not use one particular model. We believe that you should choose a model that fits the project’s needs best. Is that good news or bad news? We believe it is good news, as we think it will allow you to do a project that will thrive in a suitable model, instead of trying to fit awkwardly into a set model. <\/p>\n
