A brief personal statement indicating why you discontinued your enrollment at SJSU and why you would like to re-enroll at SJSU to complete your degree at this time. The reason why I quit university and now I want to come back: My dad decided to retire in 2022 and I had to help my mom work full-time to help my family financially. School in college was way easier than in university. I thought I could handle classes in the university while working full time. I was wrong. I got a new full time job which paid me higher than the previous part time job, but the working environment was toxic. We cannot say no to overtime works; it’s mandatory. By the time I went home from work, it’s 2am (work starts at 3:00pm) and I was mentally and physically exhausted. I quickly got left behind in class, and I was struggling to catch up. I decided to quit SJSU because it was too much for me to handle. But now, I realize I cannot just live my life like this. I have always dreamt to become the first person in my family to graduate with a bachelor’s degree. I’m praying for a better future and I will do my best for it. I just recently negotiated with my new supervisor for not working overtime to go back to school and he approved it.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
