For my Practical Applications paper, I will focus on LA County Library and how they use technology to improve public access to their services. I think it\u2019s really interesting how libraries have evolved\u2014especially how LA County Library offers things like eBook apps, hotspot lending, self-checkout, and even online classes. These tools help people in the community stay connected, learn new things, and access resources from home.<\/p>\n
I will explore how effective these tech programs are, especially in underserved areas. I also would like to look at how their use of technology reflects public service values and how it connects with a biblical perspective on service, equity, and supporting the community. I feel this will be a great way to tie in what we\u2019ve been learning in class with something that\u2019s really making an impact in everyday life.<\/p>\n

To make it easier for readers to follow your thinking, please discuss the topics in the order presented below, with appropriate heading.

\u2022 Current APA format
\u2022 Must include citations from all Learn items for the assigned Module: Week plus additional,
relevant scholarly articles (published within the last five years) you select\u2014for a total of 12 \u2013
15 sources.
Please discuss the following:
\u2022 Part 1: Describe the organization you are studying, the specific program or policy of
interest, and the public sector administrator, CIO\/CTO, elected or appointed official, or
other policy maker on how he\/she and her\/his organization are using IM\/IT.
\u2022 Part 2: Summarize your learnings and findings from the interview and background
research you did to prepare for the discussion. What is your assessment\u2014for a specific
public service or policy\u2014of the agency\u2019s effectiveness (or lack thereof) of its
management of information.
