In your analysis, please consider the role of: <strong>a.<\/strong> camera framing and positioning,<strong> b.<\/strong> lighting, <strong>c.<\/strong> sound<strong>1. Your essay should comprise approximately 2000 words, excluding bibliography. You should select <strong>one<\/strong> of the questions below. In academic coursework you have an allowance of <strong>10%<\/strong> over or under the word length requirement. <br \/>2. Your essay should present a reasoned and illustrated argument in response to the question posed. To do that, the essay should have a<strong> clear essay structure<\/strong>, ie an introduction that directly addresses the question by defining the key terms, saying what examples you will analyse and what you will focus on in your analysis of your chosen examples (b) a main body of argument and analysis, divided into short, distinct paragraphs; and (c) a conclusion which clearly and succinctly summarises your answer to your chosen question.<br \/>3. Please ensure that you back up your points with precise examples taken from films and other primary sources as well as from secondary sources such as academic books and articles. You should draw upon and cite <strong>at least <\/strong><strong>two readings <\/strong>listed on the module. These readings can be found on the course\u2019s moodle page, either in the<strong> Key reading, <\/strong>or in the \u2018<strong>Additional Resources\u2019<\/strong> section at the bottom page of each week\u2019s session. You will need to show evidence that you have engaged with the readings meaningfully and critically.<br \/>4. You must provide clear references to all primary and secondary sources. This is especially true of all information and opinions derived from the Internet, which you should check for accuracy with special attention. When citing the allocated readings, you should use one of the<strong> citation styles as they are<a> outlined here<\/a><em>. <\/em><br \/>5. All work must be submitted electronically via Turnitin. If you miss the deadline, please submit via Turnitin anyway, and then apply for mitigating circumstances.
