As part of their application, they require a one-page statement explaining why I\u2019m specifically interested in their PA program.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve drafted something already, but I\u2019m not happy with how it sounds\u2014it doesn\u2019t feel engaging or personal enough, and I don\u2019t think it highlights why FDU is such a great fit for me.<\/p>\n<p>Would you be able to help me rework it? I\u2019d love a version that hooks the reader right away and clearly connects my personal and clinical experiences to FDU\u2019s mission and program structure. I\u2019ll upload a document with details about my background to help guide the rewrite.<\/p>\n<p>Also, if possible, I\u2019d love if you could review FDU\u2019s website and incorporate specific elements of the program that align well with my journey and goals.<\/p>\n<h3><strong> My Life Experiences &amp; Motivation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li> I became my father\u2019s caregiver during his battle with liver cancer. I attended all his appointments, translated for his providers, helped with his medications, and saw how impactful compassionate care can be. That experience is what first drew me to medicine. <\/li>\n<li> I&#8217;ve worked as a medical assistant in pediatrics, podiatry, and internal medicine. I\u2019ve taken vitals, given injections, assisted in procedures like wound care and X-rays, and helped patients feel calm and cared for\u2014especially those who were nervous or unsure. <\/li>\n<li> I shadowed PA Sanna Arshad and saw firsthand how PAs lead with empathy, adapt quickly, and handle a wide range of responsibilities. Watching her work helped me see exactly where I want to be. <\/li>\n<li> As a first-generation Egyptian-American, I\u2019ve often helped Arabic-speaking patients who couldn\u2019t fully express themselves. Being fluent in Arabic allowed me to step in, and it made me realize how important it is to be culturally and linguistically aware as a provider. <\/li>\n<li> My academic journey hasn\u2019t been perfect. I struggled during the time my father was sick, but I chose to retake my core science classes and raised my grades significantly. I\u2019m now graduating <strong>summa cum laude<\/strong> with a bachelor\u2019s in biology, and I\u2019m proud of how far I\u2019ve come. <\/li>\n<li> FDU is close to home, which is important to me. It would allow me to stay close to the community I want to serve.
