For your final assignment, you will submit a revised version of your proposal that reflects<\/p>\n
feedback you received and changes that you made to your research question and proposed<\/p>\n
fieldwork after discussing it in the peer review workshop and with me.<\/p>\n
You will also submit in the same document an annotated bibliography, based on the<\/p>\n
preliminary bibliography you completed earlier in the semester. An annotated bibliography is<\/p>\n
a summary of your sources that includes a brief overview of each one. This enables the<\/p>\n
reader to have a sense of how you plan to use your sources and to identify how they are<\/p>\n
connected to the project you proposed. Therefore, you need to have fully read each of the<\/p>\n
10 sources and have taken notes on them.<\/p>\n
The sources that you include in the final annotated bibliography should reflect feedback that<\/p>\n
you received from your classmates and from me during the peer review workshop. It should<\/p>\n
contain what you think are the 10 most relevant and helpful sources for your proposed<\/p>\n
project, based on the research you have done. The annotated bibliography should be<\/p>\n
formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style and sent as a PDF.<\/p>\n
For each source, you should include a paragraph of roughly 100 and no more than 200<\/p>\n
words that addresses the following prompts:<\/p>\n
1) Why did you pick this source?<\/p>\n
2) How did it help you think about your research question?<\/p>\n
3) How did it help you think about the design of your proposed fieldwork?<\/p>\n
4) What was the most important thing that you learned from reading it?<\/p>\n
Please carefully review the examples and guidelines below from several different university<\/p>\n
library websites about annotated bibliographies. We will also discuss these in class.<\/p>\n
