Your paper should be at least 10 pages (counting your Title and References pages). Save this draft as a .doc or .docx file and attach it to your week\u2019s first post. <strong>This is due as your initial post before the end of this Wednesday, MST.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li> Second, you\u2019ll post peer review letters to <strong>2 different learners<\/strong>, just like the peer reviews we practiced last week. Post your letters directly on the discussion board, not as attachments.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You must return your peers\u2019 feedback by the end of<strong> Sunday, MST,<\/strong> of this academic week for credit. <\/p>\n<p>Your 2 peer reviews should focus on formative, rubric-based feedback. <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Begin by once again reading through the rubric for the Persuasive Research Paper, located below. <\/li>\n<li>Provide feedback to any 2 peers who have posted their drafts here. <\/li>\n<li>Please provide feedback to peers whose drafts have <strong>not yet been reviewed<\/strong> by other learners. <\/li>\n<li>If every draft on the discussion board has already been reviewed, you may review a draft that has already been reviewed. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Each review should be in the form of a letter written directly to the writer, addressing each of the rubric\u2019s areas in a separate paragraph (APA, Mechanics, Structure and Organization, Introduction and Conclusion, Body, &amp; Formatting). <\/p>\n<p>Here are some guidelines and tips: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mix criticism and praise. <\/li>\n<li>Use the \u201cdescribe, evaluate, suggest\u201d framework detailed in this week\u2019s <a>OWL: Giving Feedback for Peer ReviewLinks to an external site.<\/a> reading. <\/li>\n<li>Whenever possible, provide examples by citing specific areas of your peer\u2019s paper, i.e. \u201cpage 2, paragraph 3.\u201d <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here\u2019s an example of what one paragraph of your peer review could look like: <\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIn terms of structure and organization, I noticed that your paper is still a couple pages short of the required length. I wondered if adding more detail to your rebuttal section would help you generate a little more material. That section felt shorter than some of the others. I also noticed that the transition from the first and second full paragraphs on page 3 seemed abrupt. I didn\u2019t quite see how those two topics connected to one another, and I thought it might be helpful to add more transition material there to make the connection.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n<p>Each peer review should be 300-500 words in length and provide substantive, useful feedback to the writer. <\/p>\n<p>Lastly, please be sure to use the thesis formula I included in Week 13&#8217;s discussion and webinar.
