There are two parts to this assignment:<\/p>\n

1.) It’s a creative assignment where you can choose a scene from Mother Courage and rewrite it bringing the action and dialogue of the scene into a new setting or dialect. You can choose a scene you want but please don’t choose a really short scene. <\/span><\/span>Consider Brecht\u2019s ideas on Epic theater and Gestus as you plan your performance!!<\/span><\/div>\n

2.) Write an analysis paper (at least two pages). I<\/span>ncludes an explanation of your contribution to the planning of the scene performance. As you plan, take notes on staging, blocking, interpretation, and creative ideas and write a follow-up scene analysis paper–about two pages.<\/span><\/div>\n
