Assignment (Scientific Literature Review) Assignment (Scientific Literature Review) For the Assignment you have to: 1. choose a topic of your interest (relevant to the context of the course), 2. search the scientific literature, and 3. write a mini review of maximum 15 pages. Please find attached a list of proposed topics for your review. You can either select one of them or propose your own. The proposed topic for your review should be relevant to the context of the course, completely new or a mix of the proposed topics. Please send us a short message with the title of your selected topic for your review. The presentation should be maximum 20 minutes with questions. The presentation file should be submitted in e-learning together with the review on the same day. Your review should follow the following structure: \u2022 Abstract \u2713 Write this last. \u2713 A summary of your main thesis and the studies you examine in your review. \u2022 Introduction \u2713 Introduce your topic. \u2713 Outline what you will discuss throughout the review. \u2713 Frame the paper with your thesis. \u2713 Tell your audience why it is important that you reviewed the literature in the selected topic area. \u2022 Body \u2713 Can take different forms depending on your topic. \u2713 Break it up into sections if this is helpful (i.e. if you are studying three different methodologies, then you can break your body into three main sections). \u2713 Go through all of the literature in detail, in an organized fashion. \u2022 Discussion\/Conclusion \u2713 Restate your thesis. \u2713 Wrap up your review by drawing everything together and making sure it is clear what conclusions you draw about your topic or field of study based on the research studies you read and analyzed. \u2022 References \u2713 Make sure your references are formatted correctly and all present \u2713 This paper is all about the references!
