Our lives are radically affected by high-end gadgets that have finally become economical for the everyday user. For example with the advancing technology we see every year, there are new smart phones released annually. But is it cost effective to upgrade annually as well? Or is it better to keep the same phone for several years, depending on software support? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The product cycle is predictable. A new technology emerges, and it is very expensive, hard to find, and difficult to use. As the technology gains in popularity, its uses are expanded and the price begins to drop. Eventually the product becomes available for the general public or for general business use\u2014everyone seems to have one. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For this project, choose a hot technology topic from the list below and explain what the technology is, how it is currently being used (or how it might be used in the future), and how it will affect consumers when it becomes widely accepted.
