Advanced social work practitioners with a clinical emphasis understand that human rights and<\/span> <\/span>justice, as well as social welfare and services, are mediated by policy and its implementation at the federal, state, and local levels<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span> Advanced social work practitioners with a clinical emphasis <\/span>understand and recognize<\/span><\/span> the historical, social, racial, cultural, economic, organizational, environmental, and global influences that affect social policy<\/span><\/span> <\/span>and <\/span>demonstrate<\/span> the ability to critique history, <\/span>policy,<\/span> and structures <\/span>through rights-based, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist lenses<\/span><\/span>. Advanced social work practitioners with a clinical emphasis understand their leadership role in policy development and implementation within their practice settings at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels, actively using their skills to engage in policy practice and examination of values to effect change within those settings.<\/span><\/span> They are also knowledgeable about policy formulation, analysis, implementation, and evaluation.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>Advanced social work practitioners with a clinical emphasis <\/span>provide<\/span> leadership and <\/span>support to<\/span> clients, families, and community-based leaders in <\/span>creating and <\/span>advocating for <\/span>culturally responsive <\/span>policies <\/span>advantageous<\/span> to them<\/span> that promote human rights and that <\/span>seek<\/span> to <\/span>eliminate<\/span> racism and<\/span> <\/span>oppression<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span> Advanced social work practitioners with a clinical emphasis <\/span>demonstrate<\/span> the ability to ethically evaluate policies and their impact on client systems and the community<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
