I really want you to emphasize because of my mom’s hardwork of being a single mother most of my life raising me and my 2 other sisters on her own while having my dad barley present. Growing up in a low-income family within a privileged community gave me a unique outlook on life.  From a young age, I took on responsibilities most of my peers didn\u2019t have to consider\u2014working early shifts at Panera Bread, <\/span>and <\/span>managing my family\u2019s finances while balancing schoolwork. I watched my mom come home late, her face lined with exhaustion, carrying the weight of endless hours in low-wage jobs to give us a chance here. She left everything behind, facing language barriers and relentless responsibilities, yet she endured with quiet strength. Each night, after a quick hello, she\u2019d retreat to her room, and I\u2019d often hear her silent tears, feeling the release of all she\u2019d held back to stay strong for us. It was then I understood the depth of her love and sacrifices. Seeing her struggle drove me to become independent, to break the cycle of hardship, and to show her that her sacrifices were not in vain.<\/span><\/p>\n

My experience at Panera has been <\/span>foundational<\/span> crucial pivotal essential <\/span>to this journey. In just three months, I was promoted to team lead\u2014a role that challenged me to embrace responsibility and to lead by example. Starting shifts as early as 5 a.m., I was responsible for training new employees and resolving<\/span> any <\/span>conflicts. Balancing these responsibilities with school was challenging, but I was able to succeed through dedication. This experience taught me effective communication and creative problem-solving\u2014skills I look forward to bringing to the University of California.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to my work, I am a dual-enrolled student, balancing high school and college coursework while completing various internships. <\/span>These internships pushed me out of my comfort zone, exposing me to real-world challenges, and allowing me to address community concerns, engage with diverse audiences, and strengthen my public speaking skills<\/span>. These experiences deepened my commitment to making a positive impact and reinforced my dedication to both my education and my community.<\/span><\/p>\n

My journey, <\/span>shaped by challenges and achievements,<\/span> makes me a strong candidate for the University of California. I am prepared to excel academically, lead by example, and foster a supportive environment.
