While<br \/>\nthese efforts help showcase athletes on larger<\/span><\/span> <span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">platforms or stages,<br \/>\nthey may also come with hidden challenges (Wilson, 2024). Student-athletes<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">are already<br \/>\nbalancing demanding schedules, with practice, lift, rehab, games, school and<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">studying.<br \/>\nAdded pressure also occurs with long travel days and handling the media which<br \/>\ncan<\/span><\/span> <span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">greatly impact athletes\u2019 mental health and academic<br \/>\nperformance. Furthermore, it will<br \/>\nlook at<\/span><\/span> <span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">how these elements interact to determine whether<br \/>\nplayers choose to continue in their program,<\/span><\/span> <span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">providing insight<br \/>\ninto whether these resources genuinely help or put additional load on student-<\/span>athletes<br \/>\n(Park et al., 2022).
