It is OK to copy and paste them or re-create them \u2013 it is up<br \/>\nto you, but only use the provided tables (do NOT use your tables from Qualtrics<br \/>\nfrom Week 5).<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&#8211; You&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">DO need to add some of the graphs you have<br \/>\ncreated<\/b>&nbsp;(ideally reusing the ones from last week&#8217;s assignment\u2026or<br \/>\ncreating new ones if you did not have all the graphs for Week 5). I recommend writing a<br \/>\nshorter intro\/background part and certainly including sufficient information on<br \/>\nthe results, implications, and recommendations (they are more important).<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">For the executive summary, and even more for the paper as a<br \/>\nwhole,&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">write as if you are writing for someone who has no idea what<br \/>\nthis study is about&nbsp;<\/b>\u2013 explain the null hypothesis, the cohorts, the<br \/>\ntests you conducted, etc.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Findings<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Ideally, this section will have three main sub-sections:<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Student Demographic Profile, Student Experiences and Perceptions, and Plans<br \/>\nto Return<\/b><br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n1. First, you should summarize the&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">overall respondent demographics.<\/b><br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\nThen, demographics broken down by the three class sections &#8211; summarize the<br \/>\npercentages and then add findings from the crosstabulation (p-values from Week<br \/>\n5 papers). That takes care of&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">RQ1<\/b>.<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n2. Then, move on to the&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Experience and Perceptions<\/b>&nbsp;section &#8211;<br \/>\nsummarize all the means first, followed by explanations of the crosstabulations<br \/>\nwith p-values. Starting with text, then table, then text, then table (graphs in<br \/>\nbetween where applicable). This section will answer&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">RQ 2 and RQ 3<\/b>.<br \/>\nSee the Xu et al. article as an example of how to summarize the means for the<br \/>\nresponses.&nbsp;<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n*Please note that the Xu et al. (2016) example has some tables bunched<br \/>\ntogether, which is not recommended, but that is probably due to journal<br \/>\nformatting.<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n3. Then,&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Plans to Return to SOU<\/b>&nbsp;&#8211; summarize the percentages<br \/>\nand the p-values, as well as the chi-square as it is provided, followed by the<br \/>\ntables. That section answers<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;RQ 4 and RQ 5<\/b>.<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\n<br style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/>\nLastly, although only three reasons were mentioned, a sentence or two<br \/>\nsummarizing&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">reasons for not returning<\/b>&nbsp;should be added, as that<br \/>\nanswers&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">RQ6.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Do NOT include any pasted tables from Qualtrics \u2013 use<br \/>\nONLY the provided tables.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Every table and figure MUST be referenced in the text.<\/b>&nbsp;If<br \/>\nyou don\u2019t have any text that is related to the table, then you probably should<br \/>\nadd something (since all tables are required).<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Please also make sure that you&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">explain what<br \/>\nstatistical tests were run, providing the&nbsp;<i style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">p<\/i>-value.<\/b>&nbsp;In<br \/>\nprevious years, I have seen papers that say: \u201cdata was significant.\u201d That is<br \/>\nnot clear &#8211; explain which variable, what test, etc. The correct way to<br \/>\nreference a&nbsp;<i style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">p<\/i>-value is in parenthesis and in italics&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">(<i style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">p<\/i>=<br \/>\n0.001<i style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">).<\/i><\/b>&nbsp;Only include three decimal points for the p-value.<br \/>\nProvide the chi-square results when available (see provided tables).<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">See the&nbsp;<b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Xu et al.&nbsp;journal article<\/b>&nbsp;that<br \/>\nincludes summaries of demographic characteristics and other data. Please skim<br \/>\nthrough the Results and Discussion, and Implications sections.
