your local human rights and anti-trafficking
\norganizations in your community. This can include<\/span><\/p>\n

law enforcement and local and state elected officials.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your Portfolio Project should meet the following
\nrequirements:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Include: Title and Bibliography pages<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Include: Introduction and Conclusion sections<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Include: The results of the interview with at least
\none local human rights and anti-<\/span><\/p>\n

trafficking organization. Include meaningful quotes
\nfrom your interview.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Format of assignment: Turabian<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Number of words in each Chapter: 600-1200 words<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Number of citations: Include three citations from
\nthe course material and\/or external<\/span><\/p>\n

Do these organizations provide education, advocacy, or
\ndirect services to those in<\/span><\/p>\n

need?<\/span><\/p>\n

o What is the role of local law enforcement? What are
\nthey seeing and responding<\/span><\/p>\n

to? Reach out to a local law enforcement officer and
\nobtain their input.<\/span><\/p>\n

o What is the current state legislation in regard to
\nhuman trafficking? Reach out to<\/span><\/p>\n

elected officials and obtain their input.<\/span><\/p>\n

o How are the local human rights and anti-trafficking
\norganizations connected to<\/span><\/p>\n

the local church? Can they share any churches that
\nhave regularly been involved?<\/span><\/p>\n

In what ways the local human rights and
\nanti-trafficking organizations would like<\/span><\/p>\n

to see the church more involved?<\/span><\/p>\n

o What are some ways your local actors have affirmed
\nthe dignity of those they are<\/span><\/p>\n

serving? Do they have any training and policies
\ndesigned to protect the person<\/span><\/p>\n
