The \u201cTobacco Control Policy\u201d is an important policy used to regulate and reduce the use of tobacco products among consumers, thus leading to improvement in public health. These policies lead to less respiratory complications and risks for cancer, using these carcinogens. This policy heavily impacts health equity by reducing health disparities as mentioned above. It protects vulnerable populations like children, pregnant woman, and non-smokers by utilizing smoke free legislation and advertisement restrictions.  The policy prevents youth initiation with increased taxation limiting access to lower income population. Economic factors are also considered with the increased taxation. It allows for more taxes to be charged to smokers, the increased tax on tobacco products contributes to health care costs.
