In Chapter 1, you need a couple of paragraphs (more is fine) on just exactly what types of crisis you are talking about. Assume the reader is not familiar with what you are talking about.<\/p>\n
You need to lay the groundwork for just what type of crisis you are talking about here. Violence? Assaults? Property crimes? What are the mental health crisises that you are going into here? This should be addressed early on in the paper. <\/p>\n
What information is in the CIT programs? By this, what is taught? What is in the curriculum?<\/p>\n
You want to make sure that you are being specific on things. If they vary, how do they vary?<\/p>\n
Page 5 – Modles of Crisis Intervention – go into detail on the three models. What do they entail? How are they alike? How are they different? Go into detail on this.<\/p>\n
Page 6 – Effectiveness of Crisis Intervention section – this is a good start, but go into much greater detail. Y need to do more than to say are or are not effective. You need to tell why and give the reader some knowledge on how they work and why the work (or do not)?<\/p>\n

Also, you need to address what the issues are. <\/p>\n
In addition to what the officers on the street sees, you could talk about in the jails. What type of training do correctional officers receive? Is that similiar to what LEO sees? If so, how is it alike or different. This gives you a greater area to draw upon for sources.<\/p>\n
Since you are talking about issues in mental health, you need to actually talk about mental health. You can find a lot of information about the number of mentally ill people who come in contact with law enforcement. What are their issues?<\/p>\n
You can talk about the history of of this issue and how, over time, it has impacted law enforcement.<\/p>\n
You can talk about the history of training LEO in dealing with this issue.<\/p>\n
