The purpose of this course is to help you learn some aspects of the business side of the<\/span>
Senior Living Industry.<\/span> <\/span>During the course we will touch on several topics, some I am<\/span>
sure you will find more interesting than others. The Mid<\/span>–<\/span>term<\/span> <\/span>Presentation and<\/span> <\/span>Paper<\/span>
are<\/span> <\/span>an opportunity for you to dive deeper into any one of the lectures to explore the<\/span>
topic more extensively. You are free to choose the lecture or a topic within a lecture<\/span>
that interests you<\/span>. However<\/span>,<\/span> <\/span>please have your topic<\/span> <\/span>approved by me by<\/span> <\/span>week 4<\/span>,<\/span>
(<\/span>September 1<\/span>6<\/span>, 202<\/span>4<\/span>)<\/span>,<\/span> <\/span>so I can make sure you are the only one doing that topic.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
The intent<\/span> <\/span>is for<\/span> <\/span>you<\/span> <\/span>to<\/span> <\/span>present your topic on October 21, 2024, in class or via video<\/span> <\/span>and<\/span>
your written paper is due the following week (October 28, 2024)<\/span>. You will receive<\/span>
feedback from me as well as<\/span> <\/span>possibly your<\/span> <\/span>fellow students<\/span> <\/span>based on observations made<\/span>
during your oral presentation<\/span>. This feedback should help you refine your mid<\/span>–<\/span>term<\/span>
paper<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
