Imagine it is now eight days into the \u201cApproach March\u201d and casualties are far higher than expected (for the purposes of this exercise, double the actual number of expected casualties). Support and relief teams are still deploying to the area from Kuwait, but only half of the anticipated number have so far arrived. It is expected that bubonic plague will become a problem in the very near future due to breakdowns in the supply chain. Medical supplies, especially antibiotics, have become very scarce. The largest, most devastating sandstorm in over 10 years has crippled any logistical flow of supplies\u2014temporarily.<\/p>\n
Exercise
\nDiscuss your current logistical\/transportation readiness, including transportation and supply issues in natural (sandstorm) and armed conflicts. Explain logistical\/transportation concerns from the beginning of your mission through the eighth day.<\/p>\n
Your paper should contain an introductory paragraph, headings, possible subheadings, a conclusion, and\u2014of course\u2014references.<\/p>\n
