Version 1:<\/span><\/p>\n When covid began I realized the best use of my spare time was to progress through school at a faster pace. This caused me to skip my 8th-grade year and go directly into high school at the age of 13. I continued on a regular pace until my Sophomore year in which I only had 5 classes left that I had to take to graduate. I decided to move at a rapid pace and graduate early. Then I studied abroad for a year, learning more about different cultures and increasing my knowledge depth. After my year abroad I decided to take a gap year to gain more experience to better prepare myself for University. For example, I am taking more online programming classes and taking internships to further develop my skills, while learning about a professional work environment. <\/span><\/p>\n Version 2: My progression through highschool was unique, as life events impacted what was considered a normal academic journey . During covid we had to remain in isolation, based on my mother\u2019s cancer diagnosis and medical recommendations. Therefore during that period of time, I started taking high school classes in middle school and advanced to high school a year early. Then during high school I was still advancing rapidly and realized that I would be finished with my high school ahead of schedule. I pivoted and started looking at international study abroad opportunities and outside opportunities to enrich my academic path. I spent my combined Junior\/Senior year completing high school courses while studying internationally. I then furthered my education by taking continuing educational courses and a software internships. Each of these pivots has expanded my knowledge, brought in different opportunities to collaborate, drive a different level of accountability and provide a clear sense of direction. This year, I am in a gap year, as I did not want to be a freshman at University at the age of 16. I have found opportunities to challenge myself with another internship, added additional python coursework, volunteering within the community to share my strengths in math and computers. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span> This is what has been written thus far.
