Rewrite My aproach<\/span><\/p>\n

I once failed to answer questions correctly on a math test. It was frustrating because I thought I knew the answer.<\/span><\/p>\n

I got the assignment from the teacher and immediately wrote my name on it. I was able to solve the first question without any problems. But the second assignment was where the trouble began.<\/span><\/p>\n

Suddenly everything was gone.<\/span><\/p>\n

My head was empty. I read through the other questions and realized with each one that I didn’t know how to solve them. I became more and more nervous. It all just went away. I just wrote something down so I wouldn’t be noticed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because I had a tennis tournament I had to train a lot. After my training I studied until late in the evening and early in the morning before the exam. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But I couldn’t concentrate on the math tasks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Everything in my head revolved around my tennis match. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When I couldn’t solve the tasks, I was sad to disappoint my mother. I was afraid she would ban me from the tennis tournament.<\/span><\/p>\n

This was a warning sign and it was clear that I had to set up a schedule to prevent blackouts in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the help of my mother I started to write a weekly plan and divided the study material up over the different days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stick to one task! helped me to focus on maths.  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Not to jump from maths to Spanish, geography or another subject, I cover the remaining tasks with a blank, white sheet of paper and my thoughts stay on maths.<\/span><\/p>\n

When I get stuck, I take a few deep breaths in and out and only then carry on.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most important : I start studying early enough.<\/span><\/p>\n

These tips were worth their weight in gold. I learned that proper preparation for a test is important and that balancing school and free time is a question of time management.<\/span><\/p>\n
