Within the MSN Specialties Track, you will engage and dialog with classmates in a Collaboration Caf\u00e9 discussion assignment. The Collaboration Caf\u00e9 is an interactive assignment that encourages meaningful application of course concepts, discussion of nurse-practice issues, and student leadership to prompt continued conversations in order to facilitate achievement of course learning outcomes. In order for students to lead and facilitate discussion within the Collaboration Caf\u00e9, course instructors will take a less active role in daily posting, but will remain present to monitor the discussion for compliance and to offer clarification.<\/p>\n

    • For Collaboration Caf\u00e9 Assignments that take place during <\/span>Weeks 1 \u2013 7<\/strong>, the due date for the initial posting is Wednesday 11:59 p.m. MT; the due date for responsive postings is Sunday 11:59 p.m. MT of the week that corresponds with the assigned Collaboration Caf\u00e9.<\/li>\n
    • For Collaboration Caf\u00e9 Assignments that take place during <\/span>Week 8<\/strong>, the due date for the initial posting is Wednesday 11:59 p.m. MT; the due date for responsive postings is Saturday 11:59 p.m. MT, at the end of Week 8.<\/li>\n
    • Due to the interactive nature of this assignment, all Collaboration Caf\u00e9 postings must occur within the week that they are assigned. <\/span>Late submissions are not permitted for grading<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Assignment Overview<\/h4>\n

      Like the weekly Threaded Discussion, the Collaboration Caf\u00e9 opens on the Sunday preceding the start of a designated week and ends on Sunday at 11:59 p.m. MT at the end of the designated week (Weeks 1-7), and by Saturday at 11:59 p.m. MT at the end of Week 8.<\/p>\n

      In each Collaboration Caf\u00e9, students are expected to post a minimum of 2 postings, to include the following:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Initial response<\/li>\n
      • Response to at least one peer on a separate day from the initial response<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Dialogue must be substantive and collaborative in nature, addressing specific concepts and topics noted in the Collaboration Caf\u00e9 question and prompting further discussion among peers.<\/p>\n

        Scholarly references are not required in the Collaboration Caf\u00e9 discussions; however, if the student chooses to submit a reference, current APA format must be followed. There may also be times when faculty will have you review a website or article. In cases like these, you must properly cite and reference according to current APA to avoid plagiarism.<\/p>\n

        Faculty may submit any student\u2019s post to Turnitin in order to verify originality of work. Plagiarism will result in a zero for the week. Uncivil comments toward peers or faculty, in any of the posts, will not be tolerated and will result in a zero for the week.<\/p>\n
