The Research Chart is a tool you will use every week to
\nexplore methods during this entire course. <\/span><\/p>\n

For your initial chart, include the following in your
\nsubmission: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

First, create three main sections: 1) Experimental, 2)
\nQuasi-Experimental, and 3) Non-Experimental. (In the first Section of the
\ncourse, you will focus on adding quantitative topics. Qualitative topics will
\nbe added later in Section 2.) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then in the corresponding section, provide the name(s) of
\nthe method you reviewed, its primary use and when it should be used (what
\ncircumstances), strengths and limitations of the method, ethical
\nconsiderations, and one example of when the method could be used (include your
\ninterests or something more general).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The chart can be organized in any manner that works for
\nyou, such as an Excel Spreadsheet or a Word Document using the table feature.
\nInclude headings according to the appropriate methods being developed. The goal
\nis to create a clear and concise chart. You may use pointed (bullet form)
\ndiscussion points or more narrative text within your chart.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nreference pages. Be sure to cite this week\u2019s resources used in your assignment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Part 2<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

For this
\nassignment, you will extend your examination of correlational methods into a
\nhands-on activity. Referring to page 227-229 and the SPSS in Focus: Correlation
\nand Linear Regression in your text, follow the steps on performing the Pearson
\nCorrelation Coefficient and Linear Regression. Please refer to Appendix
\nC of the text for additional guidance on using SPSS for each type of in
\nFocus<\/i> exercise.<\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For each analysis, include the SPSS
\noutputs in a document. At the beginning of the document, please include a brief
\n(1-2 sentences) interpretation of the results of each analysis. In your
\ninterpretation, identify the test statistics, identify the significance levels
\n(p-values) and whether the result is statistically significant or not.  <\/span><\/p>\n
