Introduction<\/b><\/p>\n
We now live in a borderless society, meaning geographic
\nboundaries no longer exist in the same way boundaries may have been defined
\nduring your grandparents or great grandparents\u2019 lives. The U.S. Department of
\nTransportation\u2019s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reported that as of
\nAugust, 2021, 66.0 million passengers traveled by air (Bureau of Transportation
\nStatistics, 2021). <\/b><\/p>\n
Many factors such as social, economic, personal behavior
\nand environment can influence the health status of a population. These
\nfactors are often referred to as \u2018determinants of health\u2019, which can contribute
\nto health disparities and the global burden of disease. Healthy People 2030, a
\ndocument you may be familiar with, was developed to address these and other
\nfactors with the goal of helping people to achieve a higher quality of
\nlife and longer life spans free of preventable diseases. Based on three levels
\nof prevention, primary, secondary, and tertiary, community\/public health nurses
\naddress Healthy People 2030 objectives by working with community members and
\nothers to develop programs to help reach these goals. <\/b><\/p>\n
