Select one of the 18 areas of psychology from the theories table found under Course Materials in Week 5. <\/span><\/span>Then select two theories that fall within that area, one that is classic\/traditional and one that is contemporary. Note that you can use theories from the table or other ones that apply to that area of psychology.<\/span><\/div>\n

For example, organizational psychology is an area of psychology listed in your directions for the signature assignment.  A classic theory would be Frederick Taylor\u2019s theory on Scientific Management (1909) and a contemporary theory would be Bass\u2019 (1997) Hierarchical Nature of Transformational Leadership.<\/span><\/div>\n

  3. Provide 3 important details each of the 2 theories.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Discuss how the contemporary theory disputes, connects, or expands on the classical theory.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Discuss how each of these theories can be used to explain the global issue you have selected.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
