Use the questions at the end of the case study to help you construct your persuasive essay, and be sure to address the following:<\/p>\n

  1. Describe the motivational issues that exist with both officers in the case study. Utilize the motivational behavior theories discussed in Chapter 4.<\/li>\n
  2. Describe the basic need drives for each officer.<\/li>\n
  3. Assess your personal management style and explain how it can be used to improve motivation for each officer utilizing the theories of motivation discussed in Chapter 4.<\/li>\n
  4. Assess each officer\u2019s performance in conjunction with the community policing model and other organizational imperatives based on the known service population demographics.<\/li>\n
  5. Explain if your formal education level, or the officers’ education, would be an obstacle. Provide two to three examples to support your position.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
