The world of Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian world. A dystopia is a frightening, nightmarish, dysfunctional, violent society set in the future, ruled by a ruthless, brutal, corrupt, totalitarian government of privileged rich elites, who stress conformity and discourage and suppress accomplishment or competence by monitoring, technology, laws, and other means of control.<\/span><\/p>\n
