2.<\/span> <\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>Be sure to indicate which essay question you are answering.  For example, if you select question \u201c1\u201d for the first exam, indicate this at the top of your essay and then you answer all parts of question \u201c1.\u201d  The questions are meant to be very broadly written giving you maximum latitude to answer the question of your choice easily based on the information in the textbook.  I am not looking for a specific \u201cright answer.\u201d  As long as you can back up your writing with exact quotes from the text, you will be on the right track. <\/span><\/p>\n

3.<\/span> <\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>The essays are due on the day of the scheduled exams. <\/span>Essays cannot be submitted in any other way than through the \u201cBlackboard Assignment\u201d window<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

4.<\/span> <\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>Each exam essay is to be no more than the equivalent of two typed, double-spaced pages. MLA, APA or any other commonly used academic writing format is acceptable.<\/span><\/p>\n

    At least <\/span>three<\/span> exact quotes followed by page numbers from the text are required. If there are no exact quotes (not paraphrasing) <\/span>no credit<\/span> will be given for the essay.  Example: \u201cYour chosen quote from the textbook typed in quotation marks\u201d, (Author\u2019s last name, page number) Specific example: \u201cAccording to the text, \u201cEurope\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u201d (Berger, 421)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
