The final project for this course is the creation of an <\/span>organizational change project proposal<\/span> <\/span>in the form of a written report, PowerPoint using speaker notes, or Prezi or voice recording with a transcript.<\/p>\n

You will create this proposal using the agency you created in Module One or the Acme Health Care Agency. (See the Acme Health Care Agency document linked in assignment prompts throughout the course.)<\/p>\n

It is important to be aware of how an organization functions internally as well as its role in the community and in relationship with other community organizations. A primary responsibility of leaders in human service agencies is to set appropriate goals and initiatives based on a community needs assessment. It is the goals and initiatives set forth in a strategic plan that address challenges that frequently arise around personnel, funding, and budget limitations.<\/p>\n

Additionally, having an acute awareness of the areas where organizational systems and associated laws and rules are in direct conflict with professional ethics is critical to providing quality, ethical, and appropriate services.<\/p>\n

In this course, you will model the role of a program manager at a small nonprofit human services agency. You will demonstrate your ability to craft a proposal that will influence the organization\u2019s programmatic services, culture, workforce structure, and funding while maintaining legal and ethical standards for human services professionals.<\/p>\n

The project is divided into <\/span>three milestones<\/span>, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions.
