\n Instructions:
\nThe student will choose a communication platform, which can be traditional media, broadcast media, or digital and new forms, and write a 1,500 to 2,000 words Exploratory Essay. The essay should explain how such a platform works, why it exists, and how have artists used or adapted it for the production and\/or distribution of their works. The essay should discuss a problem or issue with the adaptation of the platform, why it did not work, or what are its pitfalls. Lastly, the essay should cover a brief introspection on how the understanding and discussion of the topic are helpful for arts managers.
\n Requirements:
\nStudents are to submit their exploratory essays through Turnitin via the LMS.
\nThe essay should contain the following required components:
\n\u25cf Introduction, context about the communication platform, and objectives of the essay
\n\u25cf Description of the communication platform
\n\u25cf Discussion of how artists have used or adapted the platform for the production and\/or
\ndistribution of their works, and the issues in its adaptation
\n\u25cf Personal Introspection (Conclusion)
\n\u25cf Declaration on the use of AI is mandatory. Either add details, clearly justifying and
\nspecifying the purposes and usages of AI for academic writing or include a declaration on the non-use of AI. A bibliography is required. Students must reference academic literature about the topic to support their analysis and discussion. In-text citation and referencing should follow the Chicago (Author-Date) style. The essay should be supported by 5 to 6 academic sources.
\nThe essay should be written in Word document, double-spaced, and typed in 11-point Arial or Calibri, with 1-inch margins all around. All written notes should be spell-checked, neat, and proofread for grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, and capitalization errors.
