Using the two primary source document below, form an argument regarding the status of African Americans<\/strong> after the American Revolution up to 1877 and analyze the current status of African Americans today.

2. Write a formal 4 page paper, double space, in font 12 in Times New Roman or Arial, correctly using MLA, APA or Chicago Style citation. 
3. Use both the primary source documents, Fredrick’s Douglass’, “What to the Slave is the Fourth and July?”<\/em> and the Thirteen Amendment. 
4. Use course text and modules for the analysis and provide historical context of African Americans after the American Revolution.
5. Conduct academic research to analyze the current status of African Americans today and cite sources appropriately. <\/span><\/p>\n
