The coming of AI in the business environment in general affects all industries from lending companies to real estate, thus impacting all areas within them. The heart of every company relies on the sale of products or services; however, the brain comes from the accounting and management areas, therefore, the impact in these areas will be more significant than in any other departments. The increase in efficiency in the processes due to its use is beyond evident, however, just as it simplifies and automates the manual work of accountants to focus on tasks with more relevance today, in the future it will affect this type of work such as entry, classification, organization and data analysis, allowing the extinction of this type of jobs.<\/p>\n

Therefore, it should be noted that the approach to be taken by the accounting field is more linked to decision making based on the analysis of data provided by the IA. Even though there are some fundamental areas that are handled by accountants such as the payroll area, from my experience it is an area that can be automatized in the processes carried out within it, such as the elaboration of contracts, liquidations, and the generation of the payroll itself, since the tasks carried out are mostly the activities mentioned above. However, even though the area can be automatized in more than 90% of the duties, human reasoning and capabilities is still necessary for particular situations like issues, meetings, analytical reports, among others.<\/p>\n

While AI can increase productivity and effectiveness and simultaneously eliminate jobs, there is still a need for human decision making and risk management capabilities. Today we are still in time to begin to focus our learning approach to the management of new emerging technologies that as Raphael says, “It’s creating a new view about where the profession is going,” but in addition to acquire knowledge and skills in data management we must orient to personalize and be more unique in the way we provide our services and how to make strategic and accurate decisions based on the information that we get from the databases.<\/p>\n
