In this week\u2019s class, you\u2019ll choose a topic related to health care delivery systems and policy<\/strong>. This topic will serve as the foundation for your Healthcare Innovation & Improvement Proposal (HIIP)<\/strong>, which you\u2019ll work on throughout the term. Here\u2019s the process:<\/p>\n

  1. Topic Selection(2pts)<\/strong>: Identify a topic of interest within the realm of health care delivery systems and policy. Think about areas that intrigue you or align with your career aspirations.<\/li>\n
  2. Brainstorm(2pts): <\/span><\/span><\/strong>brainstorm the factors that are challenges of your health care topic (think of the concepts that are discussed in lecture, the textbook. Think about the different stakeholders involved such as <\/span>patients, providers, insurers, and the government.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Concept Mapping(3pts)<\/span><\/strong>: create a concept map that illustrates the relationships between the different factors that contribute to challenges for your health care topic. Use different colors and shapes to represent different types of factors, such as <\/span>economic, social, and political. <\/strong>Again, issues presented in the book, lecture or from your personal experience.<\/span>\n
