Write a narrative poem set during the Montgomery Bus Boycott in Alabama from 1955 to 1956.<\/p>\n

Your poem should follow a linear plot diagram, synthesize the content in the source readings, include literary and\/or poetic devices, and include narrative elements such as dialogue, theme, clear point of view, and characterization.<\/p>\n

Because narrative stories have a lot of spacing since you have to make a new paragraph for each new speaker in dialogue and because poetry is spaced differently than a story, your narrative should be a <\/span><\/span>minimum of 500 words<\/span> <\/span>instead of having a specific page length. This is the general number count for a typed, double-spaced two page essay with one-inch margins. Because you have the option of writing a poem, a 500 word poem would be an approximate equivalent to a two-page essay.<\/span><\/p>\n Be sure to use the additional graphic organizers in order to write this narrative poem.<\/span> Your job will be to use at least <\/span>four<\/span> <\/span>of the sources of literature, articles, video, lyrics, websites, and art to create an original narrative story or poem that synthesizes the information from them.
