\ncourses you have taken, or higher education in any way. You will replace the

\ndiscipline. Examples of academic disciplines include Finance,

The purpose of
\nthis research project is for you to create a scholarly piece of graduate level
\nresearch and writing which conforms to current APA format.<\/span><\/p>\n

For this initial
\nassignment, you will be developing the outline for your literature review. Use
\nthe Research Questions as provided in the instructions above. Your outline will
\ninclude a minimum of one level of indentation below each Research Question with
\nnot less <\/span>than <\/span>two <\/span>sub\u2010headings not
\nincluding the Summary. Following each
\nsub-heading you will provide a one to two sentence description of what you will
\ncover in that section of the literature review. D<\/span>o <\/span>not <\/span>provide <\/span>any <\/span>narrative
\nbeyond what is being requested and be sure to include citations for any factual
\nassertions you make in your descriptions. The sources documents for all
\ncitations provided must be included in the Reference section. <\/span>Your <\/span>headings <\/span>must be descriptive to allow a reader to understand
\nwhat is included each section and subsection. You can include more than two
\nsubheadings for each Research Question and additional levels of indentation if
\nrequired for your discussion. In the final module you will be submitting your

 <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A literature
\nreview discusses published information in a particular subject area and
\nsometimes information in a particular subject area within a certain time
\nperiod. This literature review will be more than just a simple summary of
\ninformation from various sources as it will include an organizational pattern
\nthat combines both a summary and synthesis of information. Please keep in mind
\nthat a summary is a re\u2010encapsulation of the important information found in the
\nsource, while a synthesis <\/span>is <\/span>a <\/span>re\u2010organization <\/span>and <\/span>combining <\/span>of <\/span>that <\/span>information <\/span>to <\/span>present <\/span>a <\/span>more <\/span>complete
\n<\/span>picture. Finally, the literature review will evaluate the sources and
\nadvise the reader of the most pertinent or relevant <\/span>points.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nlength, <\/span>it <\/span>must <\/span>be <\/span>set <\/span>in <\/span>block <\/span>quotation <\/span>format.
\n<\/span>You <\/span>can <\/span>refer <\/span>to <\/span>the <\/span>APA <\/span>guide
\n<\/span>for <\/span>more <\/span>information on this. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

At the graduate level, you should be relying almost exclusively on the use of paraphrasing to
\nallow synthesis of the original author\u2019s views with your own.<\/span><\/i><\/b> A direct
\nquotation should only be used in this literature review (or most other
\ndocuments you will produce) when paraphrasing would change the author\u2019s
\nintended meaning. In other words, you should only use a quotation when it is
\nthe only way to convey what the author intended to convey.<\/span><\/p>\n

Plagiarism on the
\nother hand exists when the writer simply copies the words directly from the
\nsource without giving credit with an in\u2010text citation and a reference.
\nPlagiarism is not permitted and the paper will not be accepted for grading.<\/span><\/p>\n
