Our Research topic: How much does media influence community dynamics and perceptions of safety?

  2. Topics that you should include in your essay are:<\/span>\n

    • What is the paper and issue you chose, and why did you choose it?<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Why is the paper and issue important?<\/span><\/li>\n
    • What are the main questions, theories, methods, results, and interpretations identified in the paper?<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Provide a critique – both positive and negative – of the main questions, theories, methods, results, and interpretations identified in the paper. Use the Checklist in pp. 390-391 of Leedy & Ormrod (2019) as a guide.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Ensure that you provide examples to illustrate your points.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Discuss the findings and your critique of that paper and how they relate to the research project your team is conducting?<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Discuss how the critique has affected your perspective on the issue and provide recommendations for future action\/research.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Don’t forget to include a clear introduction and purpose statement!

    • Your essay will be a minimum of 4 pages in length (5 pages max), double spaced. It must also include an additional cover page.
