We have explored the perspective of two different African writers, Chinua Achebe and Leopold Sedar Senghor regarding the interaction of different cultures, with a focus on Africa\u2019s interactions with the culture of Europe. In addition we have considered Achebe\u2019s choice to specifically reference a poem from the Western culture, \u201cThe Second Coming\u201d by William Butler Yeats.<\/p>\n
