You will need to give careful consideration to what is meant by the claim and then present some carefully selected material that allows you to evidence and support your arguments.<\/p>\n
You are explicitly asked to draw upon examples of research from at least three blocks<\/span> of the module (from Blocks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) to support your answer. A particular challenge of this essay is to select appropriate examples from a potentially very broad range of relevant material from across the module. The whole idea is to demonstrate that psychology is more than simply common sense, and the best way to do this is to demonstrate what we have learned from psychological research that we would not otherwise know. As such, it’s your job to present relevant examples of research that will provide a clear answer to the question.<\/p>\n Relevent Materials :<\/b><\/p>\n When answering the question, you should draw on any research examples you consider to be relevant to demonstrate that psychology is more than simply common sense. It would be a good starting point to include examples that you have found particularly interesting and relevant and clearly explain to the reader how the insights from such research are more than common sense. Remember, too, to comment on the <\/span>extent to which<\/span> <\/span>the claim can be supported. You should refer to research examples from at least <\/span>three different blocks<\/span> <\/span>from any of the following: Block 1, Block 2, Block 3, Block 4 and Block 5.<\/p>\n It is up to you to use your judgement to decide which parts of the module you want to draw upon to develop your answer and which material will best illustrate your points and support your arguments. Many topics in the module contain relevant examples that you could include in your essay, but there will not be space within the word limit to cover everything that might be relevant. You will therefore need to be selective, choosing examples that build a coherent argument and are supported by evidence. You may find it helpful to select a smaller number of examples\/research areas to discuss in more detail while mentioning other examples\/topics more briefly. When planning your essay, you may find it useful to classify the examples you consider including into an order of preference.
