3. Students should be able to explore their values in a classroom setting.<\/p>\n

4. Valuing is a part of citizenship education and, therefore, schools have a responsibility to teach valuing.<\/p>\n

5. Students need to learn to express themselves forthrightly and to make choices without fear and condemnation.<\/p>\n

1. Values are not objective or neutral.  Therefore, educators involved in curriculum development cannot easily agree upon them.<\/p>\n
