Despite the efforts to promote a melting
pot of social inclusion, The Roma people continue to face discrimination across
the world.

               Throughout
the history of Europe, The Roma people have been marginalized, wrongfully
persecuted and decriminalized. This is due to the deeply entrenched stereotypes
created against the Roma communities to continue the segregation between the
Roma and other European ethnicities. The Roma, originally from the continent of
Asia, The Punjab region of Northern India, migrated to Europe between the 8th
and 10th centuries C.E.. (quote about country
that put pro Romi laws despite not doing anything, maybe add the education
quote too)This discrimination on the Roma manifests into every social form,
creating a glass ceiling on social acceptance. This discrimination includes unequal
access to health services, education and employment opportunities. Not only the
social system of nations are denied to the people of Romi, but also includes
the unequal treatment and violence against Roma individuals. These negative
stereotypes about the Roma community further exacerbates their marginalization,
contributing to their exclusion. As
stated before, despite their attemps to promote social inclusion and combat
discrimination, the situation still remains dire to many Roma communities
across Europe. The lack of Government intervention on the root cause of
discrimination led to this cycle.
