color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Remember<br \/>\nthat as you develop the project you should be building upon what was already<br \/>\ndone and making the connections between sections clear to the reader.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>It is expected that proper citation form will<br \/>\nbe used throughout the project when referencing the research of other authors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Title Page:<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/b>The title page should include the title of the project along with<br \/>\nthe name of the organization that was interviewed.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Also included on the title page should be the<br \/>\nname of the author of the research project along with all pertinent information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Executive Summary:<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span><\/b>The executive summary should be a one to<br \/>\ntwo page overview of the information contained in the research project.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>It should give the reader an easy reference,<br \/>\nin very brief form, to the important information contained in the project and<br \/>\nexplained in more detail in the body of the project.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>People attending a presentation of research<br \/>\nor reading the project will use this section as a reference during<br \/>\npresentations and as a synopsis of the research done.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Introduction:<\/b><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>The introduction should contain a brief<br \/>\noverview of the problem being addressed and the background information needed<br \/>\nfor the reader to understand the work being done and the reasoning behind it.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Your<br \/>\nresearch questions also need to be clearly stated in this section.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span><\/b>After reading the introduction, the<br \/>\nreader should know exactly what the project is about, why the research was<br \/>\nconducted, and how this research adds to the knowledge that the reader may have<br \/>\nabout the topic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Literature Review (Academic Research):<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span><\/b>This section will contain all of the<br \/>\ninformation that was collected through the review of existing information.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Peer reviewed journals are the preferred (and<br \/>\nexpected) sources of information while peer reviewed \u201ctrade journals\u201d are<br \/>\nconsidered to be adequate sources of information.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Books are also considered to be adequate<br \/>\nsources of information.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>The importance<br \/>\nof the literature review as it pertains to each of the research questions must<br \/>\nbe made clear to the reader.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Conclusions<br \/>\nshould be drawn in a logical fashion and insight into how these conclusions<br \/>\nwill be used throughout the rest of the research agenda should be provided.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Qualitative Research (Empirical<br \/>\nResearch):<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span><\/b>This section should<br \/>\ncontain all information regarding any interviews that were conducted as part of<br \/>\nthe research project.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>This section<br \/>\nshould begin with an explanation of why this research is needed or beneficial.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Other information provided should include:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">An<br \/>\n     overview of the issues that were included in this research<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Why these<br \/>\n     issues were salient<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">How the<br \/>\n     discussion guide (interview questions list) was developed<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">A<br \/>\n     description of the interviewee and the company being researched<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Discussion<br \/>\n     of the information collected (using quotes to highlight important points)<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Conclusions<br \/>\n     based on the collected information<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Clear<br \/>\n     explanation of how the conclusions are based on the research done<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">How these<br \/>\n     conclusions will contribute to the rest of the research project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Findings:<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/b>The findings are the actual results of your research.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Your findings should consist of a detailed<br \/>\npresentation of your interpretation of the results found when comparing the<br \/>\nwritings from the literature review to the qualitative research (<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">How well does the real<br \/>\nworld compare to the academic world?).<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span>Figures are encouraged<\/span> when it is helpful to allow the reader to<br \/>\nmore easily understand the work being presented.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>The findings section should include the<br \/>\nfollowing:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Findings<br \/>\n     based only on results of the research, not speculation<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">In-depth<br \/>\n     explanation of all major findings<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Clear<br \/>\n     presentation of support for the findings<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Clear<br \/>\n     answers to each of the research questions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Limitations:<\/b><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Recognize that even the best research work is<br \/>\nnot perfect and open to questioning.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>In<br \/>\nthis section, briefly discuss the factors that may have influenced your<br \/>\nfindings but were outside of your control.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span>Some of the limitations may be time constraints, budget constraints,<br \/>\nmarket changes, certain procedural errors, and other events.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Admit that your research is not perfect but<br \/>\ndiscuss the degree of accuracy with which your results can be accepted.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>In this section, suggestions can be offered<br \/>\nto correct these limitations in future research.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Conclusions and Recommendations:<\/b><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Conclusions are broad generalizations that<br \/>\nfocus on addressing the research questions for which the project was<br \/>\nconducted.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Recommendations are your<br \/>\nchoices for strategies or tactics based on the conclusions that you have<br \/>\ndrawn.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Quite often authors are tempted<br \/>\nto speculate on outcomes that cannot be supported by the research<br \/>\nfindings.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Do not draw any conclusions or<br \/>\nmake any recommendations that your research cannot clearly support.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">References:<\/b><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>This section should be a listing of all<br \/>\nexisting information sources used in the research project.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>It is important to allow the reader to see<br \/>\nall of the sources used and enable the reader to further explore those sources<br \/>\nto verify the information presented.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><b style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Appendices:<\/b><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>This section should include all supporting<br \/>\ninformation from the research project that was not included in the body of the<br \/>\nproject.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>The information presented in<br \/>\nthis section is important to support the work presented in the body of the<br \/>\nproject but would make it more difficult to read and understand if presented<br \/>\nwithin the body of the project.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Don\u2019t<br \/>\nsimply fill this section with graphs, charts, brochures, pamphlets or any other<br \/>\ninformation that was not referred to in the body of the project.<\/p>\n<div style=\"cursor: auto;
