        A note on the final: The final is going to be a 4 page double-spaced essay on everything learned in class.  I do not have the prompt question yet, but you will have all week to work on the essay. This is what I am looking for in your essay, and <\/span>no <\/span>exceptions will be made:<\/p>\n

        1. You must explain, define key terms when explaining a process.  You will not be able to just write a sentence like this: Precipitation is the 3rd stage in the Hydrological Cycle. 
        One example of a correct way to write this sentence would be: Precipitation is when water molecules fall to the ground <\/span>due <\/span>to <\/span>their heaviness and it is<\/span> <\/span>the third stage in the Hydrological Cycle. <\/p>\n

        2. You must use maps throughout your essay to explain this process and support your essay.   Example of <\/span>incorrect <\/span>sentence: Areas like Ireland receive lots of rain. 
        <\/span>One example of a correct way to write this sentence would be: Precipitation varies around the world, as we can see according to the Annual Precipitation and Ocean Currents map in the atlas on page 36-37.  This map shows that Chili receives about 80 inches of rain a year along the coast, and average 40 inches more inland.  <\/span><\/p>\n

        3. Organization\/Clear concepts: Does your essay flow correctly?  Are you able to show me through your essay that you clearly understand the processes learned in class?<\/span><\/p>\n

        4. Length: The length of the essay is not a suggestion, it is the length that it will take to discuss all the information in a complete and thoughtful manner.<\/span><\/p>\n
