This Assignment further builds on
\nyour first two policy analysis papers on the Trafficking Victims Protection Act
\n(TVPA) Reauthorization of 2022. Discuss your chosen policy (the policy you
\nchose for Assignments #1 & #2, above) with regard to the following:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

1.) <\/span>Select one of the weaknesses in the current policy that
\nundermines human rights (at the<\/span><\/p>\n

individual, family, group,
\norganizational, or community levels) or hinders social, racial,<\/span><\/p>\n

economic, and environmental
\njustice that you feel strongly about and want to see fixed.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

2.) Propose a recommendation (or a
\nset of recommendations) or alternative policy(ies) to<\/span><\/p>\n

remedy the weakness you have
\nidentified.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

3.) When recommending alternative
\npolicies, be sure to justify your suggestions. For this,<\/span><\/p>\n

use multiple sources of data:
\nliterature reviews, expert opinions, and news media. If there<\/span><\/p>\n

are bills that incorporate your
\nidea but have not yet been passed, that is a good place to<\/span><\/p>\n

start. You may also use the
\nresults from a pilot project or state or international experience<\/span><\/p>\n

to strengthen your case.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

4.) Discuss changes in
\nallocations, provisions, delivery, and financing mechanisms in the<\/span><\/p>\n

alternative policy you propose.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

5.) Critically assess the
\nstrengths and weaknesses of your proposed change. In this<\/span><\/p>\n

discussion, use social justice,
\nanti-racist, and anti-oppressive perspectives to assess how<\/span><\/p>\n

vulnerable groups in society,
\nincluding BIPOC, immigrants\/refugees, women and<\/span><\/p>\n

children, elderly, veterans, <\/span>people living in poverty<\/span>, people with disabilities, and<\/span><\/p>\n

LGBTQ+ populations will fare from
\nsuch changes.<\/span><\/p>\n

6.) Discuss strategies for bringing the new\/revised policy into being.<\/span><\/p>\n
