\nAssignment, you will prepare a MicroSoft PowerPoint presentation that focuses
\non a different culture that you would like to learn to communicate with
\neffectively. At a minimum, the presentation should include the following
\nelements:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Overview of the culture.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Key characteristics and dimensions of the culture
    \n that should be learned before communication begins (include at least six
    \n dimensions).<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Compare and contrast the culture with your culture
    \n (based on the dimensions you included in #2).<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Create a culture communication plan specifically
    \n for your chosen culture that will help you and your workplace to conduct
    \n effective communication. This culture communication plan should include an
    \n outline or brief discussion of the three or four components you have found
    \n most critical.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Provide a summary and recommendations for your
    \n organization to move forward with training for cultural communication.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Your
    \npresentation should be a minimum of 15 content slides (not including the title
    \nslide and references slide). Your slides should include either speaker notes
    \nplaced in the \u201cnotes\u201d section of the slide or you should record audio on each
    \nslide. In addition, you should have a minimum of three scholarly sources.
    \nReferences should be written in proper APA formatting.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The Notes<\/b> panel of your slides will
    \ncontain your speech script; this will be word-for-word exactly what you would
    \nsay to accompany each slide. Be sure to read your speech aloud several times so
    \nthat you’re confident that the language you’re using sounds conversational and
    \nnot like a term paper or essay. Remember to use transitional words and phrases
    \nto make your speech flow smoothly.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    It’s critical to cite the sources that support your points
    \nand subpoints. Citing sources orally (as you would be doing for a speech) is
    \ndifferent from citing them in a paper. For a refresher on how to do this, see
    \nCiting Sources Orally in the Announcements area in this course.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    When you are ready to submit your slides and script, you
    \nmust save your slides in a format with the slides on the top of a page, with
    \nthe accompanying notes (your script) beneath each slide, as seen below.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Do not submit a PowerPoint file.<\/span><\/b> Instead, print your notes pages to PDF, or export
    \nyour presentation to Microsoft Word, and choose the layout with “notes
    \nbelow slides.” I must be able to see both your slide and script on the
    \nsame page; if not, your speech will be returned with a zero for a grade, and
    \nyou will have one opportunity to revise. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
