SEMESTER PROJECTS FOR REAL ESTATE PRACTICES<\/span><\/div>\n
Please note: Your semester project must contain TWO elements: 1) a research component; and 2) your response\/opinion to the research.<\/span><\/div>\n
The response portion is vital and should reflect <\/span>original thought and opinon<\/strong> <\/span>and be written in the same style and tense as the research is being reported.<\/span><\/div>\n
Using any form of AI (ChatGPT or others) will result in an automatic failure of the class. No form of  copying information from a google search that isn’t in quotations is allowed, and if suspected, will be addressed at the instructor’s discretion, including an F grade on the paper and\/or a expulsion from class. <\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

This will be a research or interview project with a variety of options

<\/div>\n
You may choose a real estate topics of your choosing as long as it reflects something related to California real estate past or present, and contains <\/span><\/span>research that will be properly cited on the last page of your paper. <\/span><\/span>The key to getting maximum points on this is to LEARN<\/span><\/span>
something that you can SHARE with your classmates.<\/span> <\/span>It could be anything that<\/span>
will be useful for a real estate career (please note: grading rubric below).<\/span><\/div>\n

    This project will be graded on the following:<\/span><\/div>\n

    *Originality of topic chosen (do not merely write about something in your textbook. Your textbook is an excellent starting point, but if you pick a topic within it you will look for outside sources so you can learn more. If you are not using your text book, but say, interviewing a professional, you will need to include the person’s name and company.<\/p>\n

    • Meeting the 2.5 page requirement, typed, grammar free, submitted in CANVAS by due date  <\/span>(WORD COUNT 800-1200)<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Including at least ONE resource that should be cited at the end of the paper (this is where you would put your research source or details of the person interviewed). This must be done in COLLEGE LEVEL WORK CITED FORMAT (I do not care if you use MLA or APA– your choice) <\/li>\n
    • Your paper must be COLLEGE LEVEL, meaning it should be double-spaced, include a <\/span>title page,<\/strong> <\/span>with proper formatting <\/li>\n
    • Research Paper possible points:  <\/span>100 points<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
